Q. What is the core focus of the diptok v2.4 update?

diptok is a lightweight service designed to allow connections without login, but this often led to the disappointment of, "Is my feedback really being delivered?" Until now, sending feedback merely displayed a "Feedback Sent" message without any possibility of receiving a direct response. While the diptok Team checks your feedback daily, we felt gratitude for every user who reached out, along with regret for not being able to convey our responses directly.

Therefore, to address this need, this update introduces a new feature allowing the diptok Team to directly reply to your feedback. Following the Mailbox (v2.1), Notifications (v2.2), and Reporting (v2.3), this update is the first feature aimed at strengthening the connection between the user and the operator, which is highly significant for us.

Q. How does the Feedback Reply Feature work?

When you send feedback via the feedback button (question mark) in the top right corner, it is processed in the following way:

  • (1) Operator Confirmation Status Display   Immediately after sending feedback, "Operator is checking" is displayed. At this moment, the diptok Team receives real-time confirmation of the customer feedback arrival through our internal dashboard.

  • (2) Direct Operator Reply (When Necessary)   If the diptok Team sends a response, a red dot will appear over the user's feedback button. Tapping this button allows you to directly view the diptok Team's reply. Resending or deleting feedback after confirmation is also possible.


Q. What is the most common feedback we receive?

Here are the official answers compiled from repeated opinions shared by users, which the diptok Team prepared while developing the reply feature:

  •  “There aren't enough users.”

    Due to the structure of random chat, even if the DAU (Daily Active Users) increases, successful matching remains difficult if the number of simultaneous connections does not secure a certain level. The diptok Team acknowledges this as the biggest issue and is taking the following steps to improve it:

    • Executing concentrated Google Keyword advertising every evening from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM This time slot currently yields the highest matching success rate.

    • Preparing for launch on a famous international SaaS platform We aim to increase user traffic both domestically and internationally by launching on the renowned product site, Product Hunt.

    • And a perk from the diptok Team! We offer 1 free Friend Request ticket when you connect between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM daily. Users gather most rapidly during this time, significantly boosting the matching rate.

    We promise to provide a more active matching environment soon, as the diptok Team is continuously working to boost simultaneous connections every day.

  • “I wish I could select and enter a room like in Open Chat.”    

    The structure of choosing a room name deviates somewhat from the experience of spontaneity and randomness that diptok aims for, so we currently do not offer an Open Chat-style room. Instead, we are planning a feature that allows users to select based on the topic or preference they want to discuss today, enabling matching with people who share similar interests. We are working on balancing randomness with preference-based matching, so please look forward to it.


Q. What other improvements were included in this update?

This update also addresses several bugs in addition to the feedback enhancements:

  • Fixed the issue where messages were not automatically deleted after 24 hours.
  • Corrected the issue where the 'Anonymous' room reappeared when pressing the back button after exiting a chat.
  • Changed the Mailbox function so that messages are only sent to users who have connected within the last 48 hours.

While these are not major issues, we are constantly refining the app to make the user experience smoother and richer.
